SMV attends RGB Workflow Discussion Series for HDCAM-SR at VTP

Highlights:
HKSR-5804 Network Interface Card for SRW5800 which adds the ability to write a DPX image sequence to HDCAM-SR tape in 4:4:4 HD, 2K and 4K moved on the file level via Gigabit Ethernet.  Playback of DPX 4K or 2K sequence down to HD in real-time.  Playback of 4:4:4 HDCAM-SR tape to DPX file sequence straight from SR deck to NAS storage.

Sony S-Log workflow: Sony’s new way of capturing footage with an expansive color range that rivals film.  The footage is captured in a RAW mode and a LUT (look up table) is applied on set or in post.  This creates a film like workflow of a one light pass / dub then full color correction during online.
